Zamalek announce squad for Orlando Pirates encounter

Zamalek CAF Confederation
manager Jesualdo Ferreira has announced the 18-man squad to face South African on Saturday in the group stage.

Zamalek are set to face Orlando Pirates away in the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage on Saturday. Both teams won their first game in the group stage, as the Whites beat Tunisian Sfaxien while the South African side defeated Congolese AC Leopards.

The Whites’ squad witnessed the absence of Omar Gaber, Mahmoud Genesh and Ahmed Dewidar due to injury. Ferreira didn’t included Hazem Emam in the squad after he was injured during the team’s last game against Ismaily.

Zamalek strikers Ahmed Ali and Youssef ‘Obama’ also picked up injuries during the training session to be left out of the squad.

Zamalek Squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Abou-Gabal.
Defenders: Hamada Tolba, Islam Gamal, Ahmed Samir, Mohamed Koffi, Ali Gabr.
Midfielders: Ahmed Tawfik, Tarek Hamed, Ayman Hefny, Ibrahim Salah, Maaruf Youssef, Mostafa Fathy, Mohamed Shaaban, Ahmed Eid.
Forwards: Abdoulaye Cisse, Khaled Kamar, Bassem Morsi.
