Nenny, Koka, Trezeguet included in Europa League squads

Mohamed El-Nenny, Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’ and Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’ were included in their clubs’ respective squads.

The draw for the group stage of the competition was held on the 28th of August, in Monaco.

Trezeguet has been included in Anderlecht’s 18-man squad list for Group J.

The Belgian giants were drawn in the so-called ‘Group of Death’, alongside Tottenham Hotspur, Monaco, and Qarabağ.

Anderlecht’s squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Silvio Proto, Frank Boeckx

Defenders: Olivier Deschacht, Bram Nuytinck, Fabrice N’Sakala, Ivan Obradović

Midfielders: Serigne Mbodji, Andy Najar, Steven Defour, Frank Acheampong, TREZEGUET, Guillaume Gillet

Forwards: Matías Suárez, Ibrahima Conté, Oswal Alvarez, Idrissa Sylla, Imoh Ezekiel, Stefano Okaka


Meanwhile, in Group F, Braga are set to face Groningen, Liberec, and Marseille.

New signing Koka was named in the 2011 finalists’ squad.

Braga’s squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Stanislav Kritsuk, Tiago Sá, Matheus Magalhães

Defenders: Willy Boly, André Pinto, Baiano, Djavan, Ricardo Ferreira, Arghus, Marcelo Goiano
Marcelo Goiano

Midfielders: Luíz Carlos, Rafa Silva, Filipe Augusto, Alan, Nikola Vukčević, Mauro

Forwards: Wilson Eduardo, Crislan, Joan Roman, Rui Fonte, KOKA, Pedro Santos


Finally, Basel – who lost in the Champions League playoffs against Maccabi Tel Aviv – have named dependable midfielder Mohamed El-Nenny in their squad for Group I, which includes Fiorentina, Lech Poznan, and Belenenses.

Basel’s squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Tomáš Vaclík, Germano Vailati

Defenders: Adama Traoré, Philipp Degen, Michael Lang, Walter Samuel, Ivan Ivanov, Manuel Akanji, Marek Suchý, Behrang Safari, Daniel Høegh

Midfielders: Luca Zuffi, Birkir Bjarnason, Matías Delgado, Zdravko Kuzmanović, EL-NENNY, Taulant Xhaka, Davide Callà, Jean-Paul Boëtius

The first round of matches is set to kick off on the 17th of September.
