Al Ahly manager released his 19-man squad list for Wednesday’s Egypt Cup semi final match versus Petrojet, with Ahmed El-Sheikh and Malick Evouna missing out due to injury.

The Gabonese striker suffered a muscular injury in the CAF Confederation Cup win over Stade Malien, in which Al Ahly clinched the top spot in their group to set up a two-leg semi final with Orlando Pirates.

Summer midfield signings Ahmed El-Sheikh and Mohamed Hamdy Zaky are both suffering from injuries and were thus omitted from the squad list.

Other notable omissions include Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’, after he was given the all clear to look for another club. New centre-back pairing Rami Rabia and Ahmed Hegazy also were not included because they have not yet been registered.

Al Ahly squad:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy and Ahmed Adel

Defenders: Bassem Ali, Ahmed Fathy, Saad Samir, Mohamed Naguib, Sabry Rahil, Sherif Hazem, and Hussein El-Sayed

Midfielders: Hossam Ashour, Hossam Ghaly, Saleh Gomaa, Abdallah El-Said, Momen Zakaria, Ramadan Sobhy, and Walid Soliman

Strikers: Amr Gamal, Emad Meteb, Ahmed Abdel-Zaher
