Mohamed Salah scored for the second consecutive league game, as Roma fell to a 2-1 defeat at Sampdoria in Serie A.

Eder scored the first goal of the match in the the 41st minute; his free-kick evaded everyone and nestled in ‘keeper Morgan De Sanctis’ bottom corner to give the hosts the lead.

Salah dragged his side level in the 65th minute, when he fired home after being set up by Miralem Pjanic inside the area.

However, Manolas would yet cost his side the result; the Greek defender’s mis-hit clearance from an Eder ball beat De Sanctis to seal the win for Sampdoria in the final seconds of the encounter.

The loss leaves the Giallorossi in ninth place, seven points behind leaders Inter Milan. Atalanta could yet leapfrog the Romans in the standings tomorrow, should they win away to Empoli.
