HANDBALL: Egypt to host 2021 World Men’s Championship
It was announced today that Egypt will host the IHF World Men’s Championship 2021 after sustaining tough competition from Hungary.
Egypt won the race to host the 27th Handball World Men’s Championship 2021 after fierce competition from Hungary and Poland. The decision was announced on Friday, during the Handball Federation General Assembly held in Sochi, Russia.
This will be the second IHF World Championship hosted by Egypt, as in 1999, Egypt successfully hosted the 16th edition of the championship which Sweden won.
Egypt now sit 15th in the world ranking with 355 points, the highest of all Arab and African rankings.
