CS Sfaxien captain welcomes Al Ahly move

CٍS Sfaxien left-back and captain has welcomed a move to Egyptian giants  in the January transfer window.

Local Tunisian newspapers have heavily linked the Tunisian international to the Reds; however, the 25-year old confirmed that there isn’t a deal in place just yet.

“My agent told me that there aren’t any talks with Al Ahly so far and no one approached me from the club,” Maaloul told renowned presenter Ahmed Shobeir.

“Playing for Al Ahly would be a great honor, as any player wishes to play for them due to their huge accomplishments and achievements.”

If Maaloul does eventually join the Reds he’ll be the third foreign player in their roster, in addition to becoming the second CSS captain to join the Cairo giants, following Anis Boujelbene’s move in January 2007.

Youssef Wael is a massive Al Ahly and Manchester United supporter from Cairo, Egypt. One of the few Egyptians who never really wanted to have a career in football, just played it as a hobby. Wael also played squash for 7 years.
