Ismaily manager Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ has criticised Egypt manager over his team player selection, following Egypt’s 4-0 win against Chad.

Mido wrote a tweet in which he congratulated the national team for winning against Chad, before saying that there is a need to set certain standards for players selection. He added that this standards should be publicly known.

He went on and said: “There’s enough time to tell Cúper that Egypt hasn’t been in the World Cup for 25 years because of the same mistakes that he’s making right now.”

The Ismaily manager said that Del Bosque has previously told the Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea that he won’t have a place in the Spanish squad, even as back up, if he isn’t a starter for Manchester United.

The former Zamalek player followed up by saying: “If a player isn’t starting regularly for his club for technical reasons and is selected for the national team, this means Cúper is offending the principles of football and is mocking us all.”

He then concluded by saying that this principle can be broken for a maximum of one or two players only.

It’s worth noting that the Ismaily manager has taken to Twitter before to express his opinion on Ismaily striker Marwan Mohsen saying that he is the best striker in Egypt and that he should be selected as a replacement in the Egypt squad for the injured Bassem Morsi.
