Bassem Morsi returns to Zamalek squad for Ghazl El-Mahalla
Zamalek manager Marcos Paquetá has announced his 18-man squad to face Ghazl El-Mahalla on Wednesday in the tenth round of the Egyptian Premier league.
Both Hamada Tolba and Sherif Alaa also returned to the squad after their absence from the last game.
Defender Mohamed Adel Gomaa and Mohamed Ibrahim have been excluded from the team’s list for technical reasons, while Mahmoud Gennesh was left out after his mother had passed away earlier Tuesday.
While Hazem Emam and Ahmed Tawfik weren’t included due to injury, Ali Gabr will miss for suspension after he received a red card in the team’s loss against Tala’a El-Gaish.
Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Abou-Gabal
Defenders: Omar Gaber, Mohamed Koffi, Hamada Tolba, Ahmed Dewidar, Sherif Alaa.
Midfielders: Ibrahim Salah,Tarek Hamed, Ibrahim Abdel-Khalek, Maarouf Yusuf, Ayman Hefni, Ahmed Hammoudi, Mostafa Fathi.
Forwards: Mahmoud ‘Kahraba’, Mohamed Salem, Ahmed Hassan Mekki, Bassem Morsi
It is worth mentioning that earlier on Tuesday Zamalek have withdrawn their decision to quit the league .
Zamalek’s Brazilian coach is looking to return to victories after the White Knights suffered their first loss in the season against Tala’a El-Gaish. They are currently in the 7th position in the league table with 13 points after six games.
On the other side, Ghazl El-Mahalla are struggling at the bottom of the table as they sit in the 17th position with three points as the team failed to clinch any win in nine games.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 19:45 CLT at PetroSport Stadium.
