EXCLUSIVE | Bob Bradley on El-Nenny move: I’m proud for him
Former Egypt national team manager Bob Bradley expressed his delight to KingFut on Mohamed El-Nenny’s transfer to Arsenal Football Club.
Mohamed El-Nenny was unveiled by Arsenal earlier today, following long but successful negotiations to bring him to the English capital from Switzerland.
When asked on the move, Le Havre boss Bob Bradley told KingFut: “I’m excited for El-Nenny and very proud for him to get this opportunity.
Although Hany Ramzy gave El-Nenny his debut when he was interim-manager of the Egyptian national team in 2011, the 23-year-old featured regularly in Bradley’s era when Egypt were pushing hard to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
“I’ve continued to watch him develop at Basel but haven’t worked with him for two years. It’s a big step but I hope it works for him,” Bradley concluded.
El-Nenny has come a long way since Bradley last coached him as the Egyptian was among the 25-man shortlist for the CAF Player of the Year award in 2014.
