French side Gazélec announced the signing of Tunisian international forward Amine Chermiti from FC Zurich.

Chermiti was lately moved to FC Zurich’s B-team after refusing to sign an extension contract with the club.

The 28-year-old striker signed a one year contract with Gazélec Ajaccio with an option of extending the contract for an additional season.

Chermiti scored 30 goals in 110 appearances for FC Zurich, the club that he moved to in 2010 from Hertha Berlin SC after a one-year loan at Ittihad Jeddah.

The Sfax-born made his debut with the Tunisian national team in 2008, after he shined with the U-21 youth team and his former club Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
