Egypt rise three places in new FIFA rankings

Egypt have risen three places as FIFA release their monthly ranking for the month of February to move up to the 55th place worldwide.

Egypt managed to progress to the 55th place in the new FIFA rankings despite losing to Jordan in a friendly match last month and having 571 points instead of 585 points in the preceding month.

The Pharaohs have also moved up to become 8th in Africa and are now 3 places away from occupying pot 1 in Africa’s upcoming draw for the World Cup 2018 qualifiers which will be held next June.

Regarding CAF ranking, Ivory Coast are still topping the African nations, with Cape Verde and Algeria succeeding them.

Internationally, Belgium are still tenacious to the 1st place, followed by Argentina, Spain, Germany and Chile.
