SWIMMING: Marwan El-Qammash wins gold in South Africa

Egypt’s Marwan El-Qammash won gold medal in the 400m race in the South African Grand Prix.

Marwan El-Qammash finished the race in the first place with a time of 3:55.37, after gaining the second place in the qualifications with a time of 3:51.33.

The 22-year-old, also managed to qualify to the 200m final after gaining the second place in the qualification with a time of 1:50.98.

Marwan, who is currently a junior in the University of South Carolina, has managed to secure a spot in the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro for both 200m and 400m races.

A pre-med student majoring in applied kinesiology at Rutgers University, Reporter at KingFut and a devoted Real Madrid fan.
