Former  manager Daniel Sanchez has been recently linked to Zamalek, following last night’s dismissal of Ahmed Hossam Mido.

Following last night’s defeat on the hands of Al Ahly, Zamalek board decided to sack Mido and football director Hazem Emam, who took over earlier this January.

On Zamalek’s radar is the French Daniel Sanchez, former manager of Club Africain of Tunis. He was appointed manager in July 2014, only to part ways by mutual consent with the club last October.

It’s worth mentioning that Sanchez won the 2014-15 Tunisian League Professionelle title with club Africain, while also qualifying for the 2016 CAF Champions League.

He’s previously managed Nice in 1996, Tours FC from 2007 till 2011 and Valenciennes FC from 2011 till 2013. While also being assistant coach at Saint-Etienne and Bordeaux.
