SQUASH: Elshorbagy defeats his brother, reaches Taeq SquashColombia Open final

World number one has reached the 2016 Taeq Squash Colombia PSAOpen final after he beat his own brother, current World number 10 3-1 in the semi finals.

“We live together and we know each other’s games very well. We train together every day, we think together about tactics, about how we can play against other players and we are used to having each other on our side.” Mohamed said.

“Today we had to play against each other which was so difficult. Trying to beat my brother is emotionally difficult and it takes so much out of both of us”.

“I thought he played so well, it’s the best he has ever played against me.” Mohamed concluded, following the 3 set to 1 victory over his sibling.

It’s worth noting that Mohamed Elshorbagy extended his unbeaten streak over his brother, Marwan, to five matches.

Elshorbagy is set to face the winner of the another All-Egyptian semi final tie which will see world number two Omar Mosaad go head to head with World number 11 Tarek Momen. The final is set to take place on Saturday the 20th of February in Cartagena.
