Wow, for all the people who always say the EFA is incompetent, hope you will give them their due credit now. We still need to see the pots, but this is a great development.

You realize there’s no Egyptian FA right now, right? This was ALL a product of public pressure. Egyptians should be proud.

This is corrupt again because now Egypt will be in pot 1, while Tunisia rightfully deserved it. Fifa once again is not being transparent and probably received huge amount of money from the Egyptian football federation.

Actually Egypt deserved it in the first place because if they haven’t done a special ranking like it has always been done for every continent, Egypt would be on top, the first special ranking changed the way it originally should have been which obviously means Egypt deserves a top pot spot.

that is not true, Tunisia would be in pot 1 and Egypt would be in Pot 2 behind Cape Verde

I am from Sudan, and I want to be fair. Tunisia rightfully deserves to be in pot 1. Egypt cheats and bribes in way to many sports including handball, volleyball, soccer, and many other sports. Egypt wont qualify to the world cup even if they are in Pot 1 because they cheat to much.

Lol corrupt “again” even though you didn’t think the first one was corrupt in the first place since your country benefited.

Why can’t we just be honest about it instead of making it a Tunisia vs. Egypt thing? Egypt is the fifth ranked team in Africa right now, and has been for most of the month, and will be for the rest of the month. Deal with it.

KingFut, I don’t think this would have been possible without your hard work and dedication! You were the first to expose this scandal and before that you were the first to expose the corrupt, shady Egyptian FA that has now resigned.

KingFut… cleaning up Egyptian football one by one!

Hey, Sonny are you on some kind of drugs ? The regular Fifa rankings puts Egypt ahead of Tunisia and this since Egypt’s second game against Nigeria. Fifa then comes out with a special ranking that was never seen before and it magically puts Tunisia in pot 1. Who is benefiting from this special ranking ? Quite obviously them. The whole continent witnessed it and a lot of sports news outlets from countries all over Africa wrote about it, a couple of days later FIFA releases yet again a new ranking that is the one we always had and Egypt got back to pot 1 (yet to be confirmed). Where is the EFA corruption here, the only suspected FA in this whole deal was the Tunisian one who was the only FA in the whole world to benefit from that special ranking. Did you read the article or are you juste making up your mind on imaginary facts?

All your comments in the thread show pretty well that you know nothing about football. FIFA corruption favored Tunisia over Egypt in a mysterious ranking, while all ‘normal’ June rankings at FIFA site and ‘all’ global sites put Egypt as fifth in Africa. You are probably spreading hate for the fact that you’re Sudanese and wishing the people here all bad luck and fate, that’s it.You may consider following global football experts to know who deserved the fifth place from the beginning of June till now. #Egypt. You were clapping at the past FIFA corruption and Tunisia’s obvious cheating and now trying to appear like a man of morals.

N.B: Stick to your awesome Sudanese football, thank you!

@Kingfut: Thank you for your Huge effort! Probably it was the Turning point after this farce! It prooves that Tenacity sometimes pays off! As i read the EFA Complaint, which was sent to FIFA, i could not believe what i just saw. The content itself was nothing special considering we read a lot about the topic lately. But honestly, i never expected that the EFA Clowns would ever be capable of composing something like that (after they messed up Big Time on this issue as usual). Still waiting for confirmation from CAF or FIFA though!

Tunisia was always in Pot 1, Fifa had a special ranking in May which made Egypt in Pot 1, to be honest Tunisia deserves to be in pot 1 and no I am from Sudan. Even if Egypt is in Pot 1 they wont make the world cup. So Egypt is complaining how they are not in Pot 1 the whole world will complain how Tunisia is not in Pot 1

June ranking (Egypt 45, Tunisia 47) from FIFA’s official site. Not sure why there is so much argument here.

May Ranking had Egypt 44 and Tunisia 47. Egypt beat Tanzania in early June, Tunisia beat Djbouti. Tanzania is a higher ranked team than Djbouti, therefore Egypt stays above Tunisia. It’s simple math, you play a high ranked team and win you get more points. It’s not about who deserved what, it’s about what team is higher ranked. That’s the way FIFA puts teams in the Pot, they cannot just say “Hey here is a new ranking, for no reason one team that was lower is now higher.”

On a side note, people shouldn’t disrespect others based on where they are from. This is a game at the end, it’s not that important!

The ranking calculations are more complicated than that. Results of the past years are also taken into account. This is why FIFA could come up with that weird special ranking which has different outcomes depending on the exact issuing date. Fortunately, this time they couldn’t get away with their crap…
