Egypt U16 manager Amr Anwar has been appointed by Damac after the sacking of Tunisian coach Mohamed Ali Al Maalj.

The latter’s sacking comes after finishing in fifth with 45 points in the second tier in Saudi Arabia, with the club missing out on promotion.

Damac Football Club is a Saudi Arabian club based in Khamis Mushait city, and is owned by Mohamed El-Gharwi.

The former El-Etisalat player previously coached Saudi clubs Al-Orouba and Al-Ittihad, and played for Al Ahly from 1991 to 1999.
