John Paintsil appointed assistant coach to Kaizer Chiefs

Former Ghana international John Paintsil appointed assistant manager to South African giants Kaizer Chiefs, following his recent retirement from football. 

John Paintsil was unveiled as Steve Komphela’s assistant for Kaizer Chiefs, the club has also managed to sign eight players in order to put the club on the right track again and compete for trophies again.

35-year-old Paintsil retired from football last week after a career which included the likes of West Ham, Fulham, Liecester City, and Santos among other clubs.

The veteran defender also represented his country for 88 times, however, he failed to score on the international level.

    He was the player who when Ghana scored in the WC got an Israeli flag out of his sox and started waving it. He was awarded for his deed by a nice pro contract in England after.
