Ekramy excluded from Al Ahly squad against Ittihad

Al Ahly manager Martin Jol announced the team’s 21-man squad set to face in gameweek 33 of the on Sunday.

The squad witnessed the exclusion of goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy after his poor displays in the team’s previous matches.

The Dutch manager also excluded Saleh Gomaa for technical reasons, while Ahmed El-Sheikh returned to the squad after missing the team’s match against ASEC Mimosas, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the Ivorian side.

The Red Devils will miss Abdallah El-Said, Malick Evouna, Hossam Ashour and Ramadan Sobhi due to injury.

Al Ahly squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed Adel Abdel-Moneim, Mosaad Awad and Ahmed Rabie El-Sheikh.
Defenders: Ahmed Fathi, Rami Rabia, Ahmed Hegazy, Bassem Ali, Mohamed Hany, Sabry Rahil, Hussein El-Sayed, Mohamed Naguib and Saad Samir.
Midfielders: Hossam Ghaly, Walid Soliman, Momen Zakaria, Amr El-Sulaya, Ahmed El-Sheikh and Ahmed Hamdy.
Forwards: Emad Meteb, John Antwi and Amr Gamal.

The Ittihad game on Sunday marks Al Ahly’s first match after securing their 38th Premier League title following their 2-1 victory against Ismaily.
