Al Ahly and striker has completed his move to Chinese outfit Tianjin Teda, signing a three and half year contract.

The 23-year-old spent only one season with Egyptian champions Al Ahly, after joining last summer from Wydad Casablanca.

The transfer went through just hours after the Cairo-based club accepted a bid in the region of $8 million (over 70 million EGP) and allowed the player to undergo a medical. The fee is a record sale for the Cairo club and Egyptian Premier League.

The pacey and prolific striker managed to impress and became an eye-catching figure as he helped the club secure its 38th league title, beating rivals Zamalek to the trophy.

Alongside Egyptian starlet Ramadan Sobhi, and KingFut Player of the Season Abdallah El-Said, Evouna was a key pillar of Al Ahly’s success.

The Gabon international managed to score 12 goals in 24 matches with the Red Devils, in his only season at the club.

Al Ahly are rumored to be looking for a new striker to replace the Gabon international before the CAF Champions League registration window closes.
