Petrojet’s Ahmed Gaafar joins Smouha

Gaafar joins Smouha

Former Zamalek and ENPPI striker has signed for Smouha for three years after a solid first season with Petrojet.

Ahmed Gaafar joined Petrojet after he was released by ENPPI last year, and went on to score 9 goals for his club over the course of the 2015-2016 season.

This news comes after Smouha president Farag Amer had previously confirmed that the striker, along with two other players, have signed for the Alexandrian side.

The 30-year-old striker is now Smouha’s sixth signing of this transfer window, after the club announced the signing of five players days after the conclusion of the Egyptian Premier League.

Gaafer will enjoy African playtime since Smouha’s third-place finish in the league means that the club has secured a CAF Confederations Cup spot for the upcoming season.
