Zamalek announce squad to face Ittihad El-Shorta in Egypt Cup

Mohamed Helmy has announced an 18-man squad to face Ittihad El-Shorta in the round of 16 of Egypt Cup on Tuesday.

Helmy’s only change to the Zamalek squad in the Cairo derby has been the exclusion of Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim ‘Kahraba’, who has been suspended by the club and referred to investigations following his clash with Mohamed Helmy.

Kahraba has been replaced by the Mahmoud Abdel-Razik ‘Shikabala’, who was excluded from the squad that faced Al Ahly last Saturday for technical reasons.

The squad witnesses the absences of Hazem Emam and Mahmoud Abdel-Rahim ‘Gennesh’ due to injuries, while Ahmed Hassan Mekki, Mohamed Salem and Mohamed Abou-Gabal will miss the game for technical reasons.

Zamalek Squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El Shennaway, Omar Salah.

Defenders: Mohamed Koffi, Ramzy Khaled, Mohamed Adel Gomaa, Hamada Tolba, Ali Gabr, Ahmed Dewidar.

Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Moruf Yusuf, Ibrahim Abdel-Khalek, Mostafa Fathi, Mohamed Ibrahim, Ayman Hefny, Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikabala’, Ahmed Tawfik.

Forwards: Bassem Morsy, Emmanuel Mayuka.

Zamalek will face Ittihad El-Shorta in the round of 16 of the Egypt Cup at Petro Sport Stadium at 21:30 CLT.
