Rio 2016: Farida Osman qualifies to the 100m butterfly semi-final
After her first race in the Rio Olympics, Egypt’s Farida Osman managed to qualify to the 100m butterfly semi-final.
The 21-year-old finished the race in 57.83 seconds in the fourth place and 0.71 seconds away from the first place. Osman managed to set a personal and African record in the 100m butterfly race.
The Egyptian was ranked in the 12th place in the overall rankings, qualifying to the semi-final, which will take place tomorrow at 3:15 am CLT.
