Gehad Grisha appointed for Zambia and Nigeria clash

Gehad Grisha has been appointed to referee the group B opener between Zambia and Nigeria in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The 40-year-old will be assisted by Egyptian referees Tahseen Abo El-Sadat Bedyer, Ahmed Hossam El-din Taha and Ibrahim Nour El-din.

Zambia will host the Super Eagles on October 9 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Group B that joins Algeria, Nigeria, Cameroon and Zambia. The winner of the group will qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Grisha became a FIFA referee in 2008, serving as a referee at the 2016 Olympics football tournament, 2014 World Cup qualifiers, and at the 2013 and 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
