The Premier Soccer League in South Africa released a statement on Monday congratulating on its success in reaching the CAF Champions League Final.

In the statement, acting Chief Executive Mato Madlala, revealed her happiness in Mamelodi Sundowns’ 2-0 victory over Zesco United in the second leg of the semi-final.

She expressed how Mamelodi Sundowns’ achievement should be celebrated by all South Africans.

Not only was Madlala proud of Mamelodi Sundowns’ victory, but also of the way it was achieved.

She felt that any success that comes from the South African clubs in the continental competitions would always be associated with the PLS.

She ended her statement by expressing her confidence in Mamelodi Sundown’s ability to achieve their first ever continental star.

Mamelodi Sundowns will host the first leg of the final in South Africa, while Zamalek will host the second leg of the final in Egypt.
