Braga lose to Shakhtar, risk early knockout from Europa League

FC Shakhtar Donetsk smashed SC Braga with two goals to lead group H in the UEFA Europa League with 6 points, while SC Braga comes third with 1 point.

The Egyptian youngester striker, Ahmed Hassan Koka, started in SC Braga’s line-up against FC Shakhtar Donetsk in their second UEFA Europa League group match.

The Portuguese side lost 2-0 to Shakhtar after a one-sided game. Shakhtar maintained possession during most of the time and attacked Braga’s posts more than double Braga’s attempts. Goals were scored by Viktor Kovalenko and Taras Stepanenko respectively.

Jose Peseiro had given the ex-Al Ahly striker, Koka, the full 90 minutes against FC Shakhtar in their second Europa League match this season.

SC Braga comes third in group H with one point, while FC Shakhtar’s win gave them the lead up until their next match against KAA Gent.
