Former Cameroonian defender Rigobert Song between life and death

Former , West Ham and Galatasaray, Cameroonian defender, , is between life and death after being hospitalized following a stroke in Yaounde, .

The 40-year-old suffered from a brain aneurism and was rushed to Yaounde Practicing Hospital before bein transferred to Central Des Ugence de Yaounde.

Uncle of ex-Barcelona midfielder, Alex Song, Rigobert is set to be transferred to France for better health care.

The whole football community has taken to social media to wish Song well.


Song made 417 appearances in various European clubs, scoring 11 goals, as well as playing 137 games and scoring 5 goals with his national team, Cameroon.

He had been appointed to manage the national team two weeks before the world cup qualifiers against where Song’s men won the first leg but were thrashed in the second leg in Egypt.

Youssef Wael is a massive Al Ahly and Manchester United supporter from Cairo, Egypt. One of the few Egyptians who never really wanted to have a career in football, just played it as a hobby. Wael also played squash for 7 years.
