Wydad Casablanca’s Congolese forward Fabrice Ondama has been ruled out of Egypt’s clash. The 28-year-old striker suffers from a sprained left ankle injury. He was not able to train today or yesterday after MRI Scans brought bad news to the camp.

Ondama collected the injury during his team’s match against Egypt’s Zamalek in the CAF Champions League semi-final.

Ondama’s injury is a huge blow to Pierre Lechantre’s side as they will have to face the Pharaoh’s without their main striker.

The striker is no stranger to Egyptians after he had participated against both Al Ahly and Zamalek this season, scoring twice against the White Knights in Moulaye Abdellah stadium a few weeks ago.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt will face Congo in the first fixture of the 2018 World Cup third qualification round on Sunday, October 9.

Mohammed Salama is a 21-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
