Egypt international Ahmed Hamoudi scored to help Al-Batin secure a 1-1 home draw against Al-Qadisiyah in the sixth round of the Saudi Professional League.

The former Zamalek player continued his impressive form since joining the Saudi club as he had already assisted three goals in his first two games against Al-Taawoun and Al-Raed.

The 26-year-old started his side’s game on Friday after he had come on as a substitute in his previous games with the newly-promoted side.

Adel Abdelrahman’s men found themselves behind after only eight minutes as Bismark Ferreira gave Al-Qadisiyah the lead with a low strike that went into the net.

In the 66th minute, the visitors were forced to continue the game with 10 men as Saad Abdul-Amir was sent off after receiving a second booking.

Four minutes later, Hamoudi scored Al-Batin’s equaliser with a powerful left-footed half-volley from the edge of the box that went into the bottom left corner of the net.

The draw puts Al-Batin in the eighth position on eight points, while Al-Qadisiyah remain winless in the 13th position with three points.

Hamoudi will play against his compatriot Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba when his side host Al-Ittihad on Monday in the quarter-final of the Saudi Crown Prince Cup. Al-Batin will then face Al-Wehda in the seventh round of the league on October 29.
