Arab Champions League to return next summer in Egypt
After more than three years of absence, the Arab Champions League is set to return in the 2017 summer and will take place in Egypt.
Arab teams will participate in the tournament including, Al Ahly and Zamalek from Egypt, Esperance from Tunisia, Al Hilal and Al Nasr from Saudia Arabia, Al Fath from Morocco, Al Faisaly from Jordan, Al Ein from UAE and Al Merriekh from Sudan.
The tournament will feature huge prizes as the winner will earn 10 million Saudi Ryial and all the participants will recieve 200,000 USD$. Furthermore, the games will be broadcasted on different local TV channels.
The tournament, which has started in 1982, features 17 different winners, seven of which won the title more than once. Iraqi club, Al Rasheed holds the record of most successful club in the tournament, winning the title three times in the 1980s.
The tournament will be held in Egypt starting from the upcoming July 21st and will be held annually starting from next year.
