The round one fixtures for the Men’s World Squash Championship 2016 have been released.

The tournament is set to take place in Cairo and opens on the 27th October. There will be three rounds and a semi final stage, with the final set to take place on the 4th November.

Notable Egyptian round one match ups include Ali Farag playing Declan James, 2014 winner Ramy Ashour facing Todd Harity, and Marwan Elshobargy against Raphael Kandra.

Elsewhere, the 2015 winner Gregory Gaultier will face New Zealander Paul Coil, whilst Nick Mathew will match up against Campbell Grayson.

US Open winner Mohamed Elshobargy, Karim Abdel Gawad and Omar Mosaad have yet to have their opponents named.

The tournament will be hosted by Wadi Degla Club. This is the first time the tournament has taken place in Egypt since 2006, when David Palmer came away the victor.
