Mosimane: We won’t be relaxed in the final

Pitso Mosimane

manager, , thinks that he still has a tough match in Alexandria for the second leg of the African Champions League final despite his team’s lead.

The Brazilians coach made it clear before that even though Sundowns had a big win the first leg that doesn’t mean that the match was over.

“Playing away you always want to make sure you score just as you don’t want to concede when playing at home. So despite the lead that we carry we won’t sit back relax and defend,” Mosimane told journalists.

Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Zamalek three times now, as they won both home and away in the group stage phase finishing in first place in Group B, in addition to the final match first leg win.

“I know this is football and anything can happen but if my record is to go by, then I haven’t lost in Egypt,” he added. “We just want to continue what we did in the group stages where we won both home and away.  We know this is the final and they won’t make it easy for us but we also won’t make it easy for them.”

The coach also said that Sundowns will be aiming for a goal to finish the game for good and lift the African Champions League trophy on Sunday.
