Elneny plays full 90 in comfortable Arsenal win against Reading in EFL cup

Mohamed Elneny played the full 90 minutes against Reading in the EFL cup, which saw the Gunners come out deserved 2-0 victors, thanks to an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain brace.

Arsenal got a comfortable win against Reading, which will see the Gunners advance in the EFL cup.

Arsenal’s starting XI: Emi Martinez; Carl Jenkinson, Gabriel, Rob Holding, Kieran Gibbs; Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Mohaed Elneny, Alex Iwobi; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lucas Perez, Jeff Reine-Adelaide

Reading’s starting XI: Al-Habsi; Watson, Moore, Blackett, Obita; Kelly, Berg, Evans, McCleary; Samuel, Harriot

Arsenal started the game pushing forward and gunning for an early goal by producing high pressure along with their passing game. The Gunners finally got their breakthrough in the 34th minute with Oxlade-Chamberlain scoring his first goal through a fine shot inside the box.

In the second half, Arsenal kept pushing again, continuing to dominate and keep Reading at bay. In the 78th minute, Chamberlain did it again through a fine shot from outside of the box to give Arsenal a 2-0 lead.

Mohamed Elneny offered Arsenal a very solid display with his accurate passes and vision. He almost provided an assist, but Giroud’s header from Elneny’s curling free kick was saved by the goalkeeper.

Arsenal FC advance to the quarter finals of the EFL Cup with this win.
