FA vice president George Afriyie is pleased that Andre Ayew and Kwadwo Asmoah will be ready for clash next month as they meet up in their World cup qualifier.

Ghana coach Avram Grant could select the pair for the team’s next encounter in their World Cup qualifying group match against The Pharaohs at Borg El-Arab Stadium after a spell on the sidelines in the past month as they are looking to win after a disappointing draw against Uganda.

“The return of Andre Ayew and Kwadwo Asamoah is a good news for Ghana and the Black Stars, these two players play a key role in the national team,” Afriyie told Silver FM

“They make a huge impact in the team, their return will only boost the morale of the players. We are going all out against Egypt, We have sent scout on the ground to monitor everything about the Egyptian National Team,” he added.

Ayew joined West Ham United in the recent summer window and was injured in his debut with The Hammers out. The 26-year-old attacker made his return in the team’s game against Chelsea in the League Cup were his side achieved a big 2-1 victory against The Blues.

While Asamoah picked up a knee injury in September and returned in Juventus’ latest Serie A fixture against Sampdoria coming on as a sub in the 82nd minute.

Ghana will face Egypt in the second leg on 13th of November in Egypt and they will play against each other in African Cup of Nations in January after a group contains Ughanda, Egypt and Mali.
