Adam El-Abd scores in Shrewsbury 1-1 tie

captain  scored in Shrewsbury Town’s tie against Southend United.

The two goals of the game were scored in an entertaining first-half. Shrewsbury managed to score first in the 26th minute as El-Abd surprisingly whaled a first-time-half-volley into the top corner, after a free-kick was not properly cleared.

Southend however were able to get back to the game scoring an equalizer in the 39th minute as Stephen McLaughlin shot a power ball that went through the goalkeeper’s legs.

El-Abd was named man of the match because of his goal and well defence through the game.

Shrewsbury town stays at the bottom with only 11 points from 16 games. The team didn’t win any games so far.
