Louis Dodds speaks about El-Abd’s screamer against Southend
Shrewsbury Town midfielder Louis Dodds spoke about Adam El-Abd’s screamer against Southend, saying that all of Adam’s shots on the training ground have been awful.
Shrewsbury Town’s captain Adam El-Abd was named man of the match against Southend after he scored a 30-yard screamer to put his side into the lead, but his teammate Louis Dodds was seen surprised after El-Abd’s goal.
“He has had shots in training and they’ve all been awful, but fair play to him – he’s put one in the absolute bin bag,” The former Leicester City told shropshirestar.com
“If you watch the highlights I think the first reaction is to put our hands on our heads and then go and celebrate with him!”
“I think from now on I’ll be spending time with Adam,” The Englishman concluded.
The Former Egypt international joined League One side Shrewsbury Town on free transfer last summer and made 16 appearances for them so far, scoring twice against Chesterfield and Southend.
Shrewsbury are currently bottom of the English League One with 11 points from 16 games. Their next game will be against League Two side Barnet in the FA Cup at home on November 5.
