Egypt call up Walid Soliman to replace Mostafa Fathi
Al Ahly’s Walid Soliman has been called up to the Egyptian National team to replace injured Mostafa Fathi.
The 31-year-old, who has scored two goals for the Red Devils this season, was called up to replace Mostafa Fathi ahead of Egypt’s crucial encounter with Ghana in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Fathi was excluded from the Egyptian national team squad after he suffered an injury which will keep him out for a month, according to Zamalek director of football Ismail Youssef.
The Pharaohs will host Ghana on November 13 at Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria in the second round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
