Egyptian full-back Ahmed Elmohamady featured in Hull City‘s comeback against Southampton FC, as the hosts turned a one goal deficit into a 2-1 win in gameweek 11 of the English Premier League.

Ahmed Elmohamady started the game and played the full 90 minutes in Hull City’s 2-1 comeback win against Southampton.

Hull City’s starting XI: Marshall; Maguire, Davies, Dawson; Elmohamady, Henrikson, Livermore, Mason, Clucas; Keane, Abel Hernandez.

Southampton starting XI: Forster; Yoshida, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand; Romeu, Clasie, Davis, Tadic; Redmond, Austin.

Hull City started the match poorly, giving away a penalty and inviting Charlie Austin to score Southampton’s goal in the 6th minute.

Hull City started collecting and gathering themselves after the goal, defending well and denying any other possible chance for Southampton to extend its lead.

In the second half, Robert Snodgrass managed to score in 61st minute, converting Clucas cross into the net to equalize for the hosts.

Two minutes later, Dawson connected with Snodgrass’s ball in the box to make it 2-1 for the hosting side and make the perfect comeback for Hull City.

Ahmed Elmohamady managed to deliver a good defensive performance, clearing any danger and making key interceptions, to boost The Tigers win against Southampton.

With this win, Hull City collect a full three points for the first time in eight consecutive Premier League matches, but The Tigers remain in the relegation zone with ten points from 11 matches. However, the team is just three points away from tenth place Southampton.
