Mark Hughes: Ramadan was superb
Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has praised Ramadan Sobhi following his performance against West Ham in the English Premier League on Saturday.
“Clearly we were missing Xherdan and Marko today and that would have affected any side, because they are two hugely important players for us,” The Welshman told Stoke’s official website after the game.
“But the two guys who came in, Ramadan and Jonathan Walters, were absolutely fantastic to be honest.
“Ramadan was superb, and his work rate and desire was absolutely second to none – he is a really exciting player for us, especially when you take in to the fact that he is still 19-years-old,” Hughes concluded.
The 19-year-old, who has joined Stoke City last summer from Al Ahly, has made 6 appearances for the Potters this season, assisting once against Swansea City in the Premier League.
