Trezeguet: Egypt can beat Ghana

Mahmoud TrezeguetMahmoud Hassan Trezeguet spoke to the press ahead of Egypt’s encounter with African giants Ghana in the second round of 2018 World Cup Qualifiers.

The Pharaohs are two points ahead of Ghana in Group E, after defeating Congo 2-1  and following Ghana’s lackluster 0-0 draw at home to Uganda.

Trezeguet stressed the importance of beating Ghana in order to reach the 2018 World Cup: “Everyone here hopes for a win over Ghana and to delighting the fans with World Cup qualification. All the players are always thinking about the World Cup qualifiers when we are with our clubs.”

Trezeguet added, “Whoever plays will be able to defeat Ghana and fulfill the supporters dreams”.

The Royal Excel Mouscron forward concluded, “in some games coach Hector Cuper wants to play me in more defensive roles, and other times he asks for me to attack. I’m just following the instructions in order to win.”

Egypt and Ghana face off on 13th November at Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
