Trezeguet: I want to return to Anderlecht
Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet spoke to the press ahead of Egypt’s 2018 World Cup Qualifier against Ghana regarding his future at Belgian side Royal Excel Mouscron.
Trezeguet scored and was sent off in the latest match for Mouscron in their 2-1 defeat to Standard Liege. However, the red card was later rescinded by the Belgian FA. Trezeguet is currently on loan at Mouscron from parent side RSC Anderlecht.
Hassan’s strong form this season has left open the question of his return to Anderlecht. Trezeguet answered this question stating “I wish I can offer a good level with Mouscron to go back to Anderlecht, but on the condition that I’m guaranteed participation.”
Trezeguet added, “I’m happy in Mouscron because I play the majority of the time and if I go back to Anderlecht to play in the games, I’ll agree because I want to play.”
However, if this is not the case then Trezeguet has declared that he will consider other options: “If I will not play, I will consider the offers that I receive and I will decide my future, whether to stay with Mouscron or join another team next January.”
After the international break, Mouscron take on Gent next in the Belgian Pro League on the 19th November.
