Egypt international Ahmed Fathi spoke about the team’s performance against Ghana and Mahmoud Trezeguet following Egypt’s victory over Ghana.

The Pharaohs moved top of Group E with six points after beating the Black Stars 2-0 in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers on Sunday.

“It’s okay to defend. Look at Portugal, they won Euro 2016 by defending,” Fathi told Nagham FM.

“Uganda game will be the toughest and Héctor Cúper is an organized manager,” he added.

Fathi also believes that his teammate Trezeguet will be a world class player, after his brilliant performance against Ghana, which saw him winning a penalty in the dying minutes of the first-half.

“I really like Omar Gaber and he is good friend of mine,” he added.

“I think Trezeguet will be a world class player,” The 32-year-old concluded.
