Ali Gabr excluded as Zamalek name squad for Tanta

Zamalek coach Momen Soliman has announced his 18-man squad for the team’s match against Tanta in gameweek 9 of the Egyptian Premier League.

The coaching staff excluded Ali Gabr, Ibrahim Salah, Osama Ibrahim and Ramzy Khaled from the squad set to face Tanta due to technical reasons.

The squad witnessed the exclusion of Mohamed Ibrahim, Mostafa Fathi and Bassem Morsi because of injury. Injured duo Ali Fathi and Islam Gamal were also excluded from the White Castle’s squad for the upcoming match.

Zamalek Squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shennawy, Mahmoud Abdel-Rehim “Gennesh”
Defenders: Mohamed Nassef, Shawky El-Said, Ahmed Dewidar, Mahmoud Hamdy, Hosny Fathi
Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Mahmoud Dunga, Ahmed Tawfik, Ahmed Refaat, Moruf Youssef, Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala, Ayman Hefny, Salah Rico
Forwards: Stanley Ohawuchi, Ahmed Gaafar, Emmanuel Mayuka

The newly-promoted side, who will face Zamalek on Friday, lost 1-0 to Al Ahly in gameweek 8 of the league.

Zamalek currently sit 11th with 10 points out of four matches while Tanta are at the bottom of the league standings on four points after eight matches.
