Zamalek’s midfielder Ahmed Tawfik replies to Mortada Mansour’s latest criticism, claiming that he will file a complaint to terminate his contract with the club.

Following Zamalek’s difficult 1-0 win againt Tanta, The Whites’ chairman Mortada Mansour attacked the team’s defensive midfielder Ahmed Tawfik, stating that he doesn’t find a role for the player on the pitch.

Ahmed Tawfik replied to Mortada Mansour’s criticism as he pointed out in televised comments that he is willing to leave the club if he is not wanted by Zamalek’s chairman.

“If the Chairman [Mortada Mansour] does not want me in the club, he can simply let me go. He should not talk about me in this disrespectful way,” he said.

“I am a wanted player by the best teams in Egypt,” he added.

Tawfik stated that he will work on terminating his contract with the club.

“In two days I will file a complaint in order to terminate my contract with the club,” he stated.

The 25-year-old then compared Mortada Mansour and Al Ahly’s board management styles.

“You won’t find anyone in Al Ahly’s board talking about the team’s players in this way,” he said

“I’m not a small player. I have been an integral part of the team for seven years with plenty of different managers,” he concluded.

Mohammed Salama is a 20-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
