Atalanta’s manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, highlighted Egypt’s Mohamed Salah’s threat despite defeating Roma 2-1 in the 13th round of the Serie A.

When asked if he started the game cautiously against a hard opponent, Gasperini stated, “Not at all, we played our game very well in the beginning, we suffered from Salah’s breakthroughs but nothing else.”

The 24-year-old won a first-half penalty and assisted his team to get the lead in the first-half; however, Atalanta flipped the table in the second half scoring twice and snatching the three points from Il Gialorossi.

“In the second half we were simply extraordinary. We pushed forward and took risks, even if Roma barely threatened us, and it paid off as we managed to score twice” the coach added.

Roma currently lie in the second place with 26 points and 7 away Serie A leaders, Juventus.
