Egyptian wrestler Reem Magdy dies in car accident
Egyptian Champion and World’s Bronze Medalist Reem Magdy passed away yesterday, after getting hit by a car in her home town Ismailia.
The 14-year-old managed to win many tournaments and championships, winning Egypt’s National Championship 5 times consecutively.
Reem was the daughter of Magdy Kaboria, former Gold Medalist in the African, Mediterranean and World Championships in 1959, who started coaching his daughter when she was only four years old.
Magdy also competed in the 2016 African Championship that was held in Algeria, snatching her first Gold medal and qualifying to the World Championship in Georgia, where she managed to win the Bronze medal.
