Ahmed Tawfik reports back to the Armed forces
Zamalek midfielder, Ahmed Tawfik, routinely reports to the Egyptian military on Monday after clashes with Zamalek president Mortada Mansour.
Tawfik was spotted reporting to military service with many reports indicating this was due to his clash with Mortada Mansour. However, the player said that he was routinely reporting to the Armed Forces as he is already enlisted and that he has been doing so for a long time.
After Zamalek’s 1-0 over Tanta on Friday, Mansour attacked Tawfik in a televised program saying that he doesn’t see a role for Tawfik on the pitch. Mansour continued by claiming that Tawfik will never play football once again.
Ahmed Tawfik replied to Mortada Mansour’s criticism as he pointed out in televised comments that he is willing to leave the club if he is not wanted by Zamalek’s chairman. The 25-year-old then compared Mortada Mansour and Al Ahly’s board management styles.
