Al Masry beat Wadi Degla 1-0 in a close match in the 11th round of fixtures of the 2016/17 Egyptian Premier League, to stay in 5th place.

Coming off of wins earlier in the week, both Al Masry and Wadi Degla looked to continue their momentum into this round.

However, the match was very closely fought from the beginning with Wadi Degla having more possession, but Al Masry creating the better chances.

In the 22nd minute, Mohamed Hamdy broke the deadlock for Al Masry after a mistake from El Hadary.

Throughout the rest of the match, Al Masry continued to push for another goal, but El Hadary made great saves to deny them.

In the last part of the match, Wadi Degla missed multiple chances to tie the game.

This result leaves Al Masry with 19 points from 11 games and Wadi Degla with 15 points from 11 games. Al Masry’s next match will be versus El Dakhleya on Wednesday while Wadi Degla will play Zamalek on Tuesday.
