Former Al Ahly and Zamalek Ghanaian striker Felix Aboagye gives advice to Ghanaian players willing to succeed in Egypt.

The former black stars striker has insisted that the Ghanain players must stay away from sex and drinks in order to succeed in the Egyptian Premier League.

The 40-year-old stated that the players must learn the Egyptian culture and cope with their lifestyles.

“Every player who wants to succeed in Egypt must first understand their culture. They are Arabs and have certain lifestyles. So if indeed you want to succeed there you have to respect them and their lifestyles,” he said.

Aboagye made it clear that most Ghanaian players failed in Egypt because of sex and drinks.

“Most of our players failed to succeed in Egypt because of sex and drinks. When the clubs find out, their only option is to sack you. And it has happened to most players,” he added.

“Many Ghanaian player have failed to succeed in their careers in Egypt and have returned home terminating their contracts citing financial issues as their reasons ” he continued.

“However, there is more to it than what we read in the newspapers,” he concluded.

Mohammed Salama is a 20-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
