Trezeguet features as Anderlecht steamroll hapless Mouscron
Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’ featured as Royal Excel Mouscron were thrashed 7-0 by his parent club RSC Anderlecht on Sunday evening, in the Belgian Pro League.
Anderlecht opened the scoreboard in the 2nd minute after a header by Łukasz Teodorczyk gave the club the lead early on.
After the goal Anderlecht were clearly dominating the game, and the visitors’ second and third goals were scored by Algerian international Sofaine Hani in the 21st and 29th minutes respectively.
The fourth goal of the night came in the 31st minute, and was scored by midfielder Nicolae Stanciu.
The second half kicked-off with the same pace as the first half, with Anderlecht pushing Mouscron relentlessly.
The fifth goal of the night was a 76th-minute penalty, coolly dispatched by Youri Tielemans.
Further goals from Spahic and Bruno rounded out the rout, as Trezeguet’s parent club demonstrating the huge gulf in class between both sides.
Following this loss on Sunday, Mouscron remain in 14th place in the league table, with 11 points in 16 matches.
