Koka scores as Braga hit Feirense for six
Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’ scored once in SC Braga’s 6-2 demolition of lowly Feirense on Monday night, in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
Rui Fonte opened the scoring with less than eight minutes gone, to set the tone for a dominant Braga performance.
The hosts had the ball in the back of the net against just five minutes later, but it was at the wrong side of the pitch; Lazar Rosic inadvertently directed the ball past his own goalkeeper to bring Feirense level.
It was all Braga from then on, however, and Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’ headed home from a Wilson Eduardo cross in the 22nd minute to restore his side’s lead.
Rui Fonte added a third just seconds before the half-time whistle blew, after being set up by Ricardo Horta.
Paulo Montero conceded a penalty in the 54th minute, and Eduardo turned from provider to scorer as he dispatched the spot-kick to make it 4-1.
The Portuguese forward then completed his brace five minutes later, as Braga threatened to run up the scoreline.
Higor Platiny scored a consolation goal with 25 minutes to go, before Horta scored a sixth goal for Braga with seconds to play.
The win sees Braga leapfrog FC Porto into third place, while giving their goal difference a healthy boost to compete with rivals Sporting CP, who sit a point above them in the league table.
